About The Academy
Gushiken Idol Academy is a prestigious idol academy located in Tokyo, Japan. With a large campus and a student populace of approximately 200 students, the academy is highly sought after by aspiring idols both in and outside of Japan. It is known for the competitive nature of the student body and well-known alumni, all students having a certain level of skill already established prior to attending the academy. Idols have a chance to attend the academy by one of two ways; audition or scouting. Gushiken holds open admission auditions, students may either audition by themselves or as a unit and are ranked by a grading points system. Hundreds of idols audition and only 50-60 auditions are accepted each year. Secondly, a select few idols are scouted to become students of the academy. This requires for students to be active as performers, most being found via local concerts and events or social media. In any case, Gushiken students are skilled in their industry, making the fight for success much tougher amongst the student population.

The SSIPA rulebook specifies that there cannot be more than one winner and that if a tie occurs, encore and re-vote must occur.
SSIPA is a national idol assessment where finalists of several competition tiers compete to win the Cassiopeia’s prism, which is given to each unit member during the winner crowning. Winners of SSIPA are given wide coverage inside and out of Japan and are given a chance to perform and tour in multiple places all via the foundation running SSIPA. Idol academy students year 2nd and 3rd are required to participate and 1st years are optional, only idol trainees are allowed to compete.
Winners are decided through 2 factors, judge rating and audience votes. Audience votes act as one point per view. Judges rate each unit either an A, B, C or D. The average ranking will be calculated and extra points will be added to the base audience votes. The number of judges each tier will decrease to lessen the influence of popularity in audience voting.
Competition Tiers
1. Academia Level Idols compete amongst their peers. 10 winners per academy 2. Prefecture Level Passing units compete against other idols in their prefectures. 6 Winners per prefecture 3. Regional Level Passing units compete against other idols in their regions. 3 winners per region 4. SSIPA National Level Passing units compete against other idols in this first shimmering stage level. 3 finalists 5. SSIPA Casiopea Final The last 3 units compete to win the Cassiopeia’s Prism and winning title. 1 winner, no exceptions
SSIPA Voting
Winners are decided through 2 factors, judge rating and audience votes. Judges rate each unit either an A, B, C or D. The average ranking will be calculated and extra points will be added. The number of judges decreases each tier to lessen the influence of audience popularity voting. A=+150 B=+100 C=+75 D=+45 Audience members may vote for one unit and each vote is equal to one (1) point.
Synopsis
A young Nagisa Igarashi had officially had enough of her ex-group leader's poor treatment of unit members and quits her old unit abruptly. Upon entering her 2nd year, she begins scouting for a new unit with the goal of finally achieving her dreams on her own terms; uncontrolled by others' watchful eye. Similarly, a group named ROXY has been hanging on by a thread for multiple years. When their 1st live of the year has no attendees, all but the leader, Keomi, and her childhood friend, Mitsuki, quit the group. As the past members of ROXY find their way to Nagisa and her new unit partner, Chinatsu, the new unit blossoms; later named Nautiance. However, starting their unit is just the easy part. Follow Nautiance as they navigate their way as a new and unknown unit for a spot amongst the Academy's well known idols, meet fellow students, and make their way to SSIPA!
